Either author or publisher may submit for the historical fiction or recording community activism prize; publishers must submit for the legal history prize. Two copies of the book, or in the case of the recording community activism prize, book, dvd, or articles, should be submitted to the Langum Foundation , 2809 Berkeley Drive, Birmingham, Alabama 35242, or, especially for larger bulky items, may be sent to Professor Langum’s office address, Prof. David J. Langum c/o Cumberland School of Law, 800 Lakeshore Drive, Birmingham, Alabama 35229.

The deadlines for two Langum Prizes are the same, December 1st annually for books to be considered for that year’s prize; books published in the month of December are included in that year and must be received by advanced reading copies or proofs by December 1st.

The deadline for the Malott Prize is December 1st of the even numbered year that completes the two year cycle. Again, materials published or produced in the December of an even numbered year must be included in the cycle ending with the end of the year, but may be submitted in preliminary form.
